I find that the biggest problem customers have when installing the CDM-3 player into a Rowe CD jukebox is the plugging in of the cables to the player and also the Mechanism Control Decoder. The player had a harness with two cable that go into the back side of the player and then go to the Mech Control side of the Mech Decoder unit. The problem I see the most that they invert the plugs going into the Mech Control unit. One smaller of the plugs goes in with the wires facing up and the larger plug goes in with the wires facing down. I have gotten many calls over the years where the customer has mistakenly reversed the way these plugs are plugged in.

So I guess the best thing to do to prevent this from happening is to take pictures with your cell phone of the wiring plugs, or if you cannot take pictures get out a piece of paper and pencil and draw a sketch of the wirer Plugs. The two plugs going into the CD player are plugged into the back side and are both facing up.
